カナダの山火事が大変なことになっており、その煙がほぼニューヨーク州に流れ込み、６月７日の早朝からニューヨーク市も煙に覆われている。以前、ニューデリーでお馴染みのスモッグ。あるいは、２１年前の９１１。あの時はワールドトレードセンターの倒壊ではあったが、ビル火災によるケミカル臭が数ヶ月経っても引かなかった。。火山の噴火でもいずれ煙は地球をすっぽりと覆ってしまうだろうし、戦争でも何でも、つまりは人災でも自然災でもいつだってやってくるということなんだ。
