Solar System General Hospital

Amidst a loud siren, “Earth” was brought in by ambulance. I’m just a nurse, but I could see that “Earth”s condition was critical and devastating.

All the scholars, doctors, and healers speciallizing in earth were quickly summoned. They all said in unison. “No! we have to wake her up before it’s too late!”

… At this point, I woke up from my nightmare. If this was a precognitive dream, could we all by remaining awake, save our individual Earths, and the common concept of Earth, from its death?

太陽系総合病院

大きなサイレンが鳴り響く中、「地球」が救急車で運ばれてきた。私はただの看護師だが、「地球」の状態が危篤状態にあることがわかった。

地球を専門とする学者、医師、そしてヒーラーたちが一斉に呼び出された。彼らは皆、声を揃えて言った。「だめだ！手遅れになる前に、彼女を起こさなければ！」

…その時、私は悪夢から目覚めた。もしこれが予知夢だとしたら、私たち全員が目を覚まし続ければ、それぞれの地球、そして地球という共通概念を死から救えるのだろうか？

Nostalgic Summertime: Downtown Tokyo

First, we kids wake up and water the morning glories. Soon, the cicadas begin to sing bravely, and we kids pick “Japanese Lanterns” or “Four o’clock flowers, or swim in the pool.

Tired, we kids take a nap. The blinds under the eaves provide excellent shade.

In the evening, the whole neighborhood pours out onto the street, Watermelon, chatter, chatter, watermelon keep going. The smell of we kids’s handheld fireworks and mosquito coils into the hot night air.

Before we kids know it, we’re tucked into futon in the dark of the midnight.

夏の郷愁：東京 ダウンタウン

まずは目を覚まし、アサガオに水やりをする。やがてセミが勇ましく鳴きはじめ、あたしら子供たちはホオズキやオシロイバナで遊んだりプールで泳いだりする。

疲れてお昼寝。軒下のスダレはちょうど良い日かげを作ってくれる。

薄暗くなり、近所の人たちが次々おもて通りに出てくる。スイカ、おしゃべり、そしておしゃべり、スイカ、　えんえんと続く。　あたしら子供たちの手にもつ線香花火と、蚊取り線香のにおいが暑い夜の中空にただよい、混ざりあう。

あたしら子供たちは気がつくと深夜の暗がりのなか、フトンに転がり寝かされている。
