私たちの借りているコミュニティガーデンもカラカラで、ガーデナー皆さんの話にも顕著なのだけど、生育が鈍い、いつにもまして虫にやられる。グランドホグに食い荒らされてしまう。とは言え、わけわからない農薬の類は使わないし、グランドホグ捕獲の罠は仕掛けているけれど、丘の遠くに逃がしてあげるわけなんです。皆、生きるのに必死ですし、皆、大切な命です。
